IMG_8860I wrote this poem when I was thinking about my life purpose. When my brother’s wife was diagnosed with cancer, it was a shock for all of us. I remember when we were told it was only a matter of months. I had my Reiki Master coming up and I was really thinking about what I wanted to do with my life. Her illness had already made me think a great deal about where I was in my life and what I wanted to do with it. Mostly, I thought about how I wanted to be remembered and this is where this poem arose from.

When everything is gone,

What will you remember?

Who were you?

What did you give?

How did you serve?

Did they run from you?

Did they run to you?

Were your words your prayer?

Or was the prayer your life?

The decisions felt like a massive mountain to climb but I’d already started climbing and so I followed through. I’m so glad that I did! What I’m building now is a legacy of hope. My work is about giving people hope and helping them to transform their lives just as I’ve transformed mine.

I created my collection of poems with the intention that the words would reach out to others who have gone through difficult experiences. If you would like to read more of my poetry, my book can be purchased on Amazon – click this link – priced at £2.75 or free for kindle unlimited customers.

I’d love for you to leave me a review and I hope that it inspires you.

Love and light,
